The Faculty of Brands Launched the Mission to Place Sri Lanka on the Map

The Faculty of Brands officially launched on the 9th of March at an event attended by members of Sri Lanka's marketing and advertising industry, marking the start of its efforts to drive collaboration with global and local experts and industry bodies to bring much needed practical marketing and branding knowledge to the industry. The initiative aims to build the confidence and capability needed to take Sri Lankan brand thinking to a global stage.
The platform was founded on a belief that Sri Lanka has the talent to compete on a global stage, and that what stands between here and there is knowledge, confidence and the practical foundations to put both to work. The Faculty of Brands was built to help bridge that gap, through curated learning experiences, workshops and events that connect local professionals with evidence based, practical knowledge they can apply immediately to their work.
The launch event set out the platform's vision clearly. To elevate Sri Lankan brand effectiveness and creativity and to create a space where marketers, creatives, founders and business owners can continuously learn, grow and build the belief that Sri Lankan brands can compete with the best in the world.
The evening also marked the beginning of a significant collaboration with Teodora Migdolovici, founder of The Alternative School Creative MBA programme. An award-winning brand consultant and educational practitioner, Teodora pioneered the Creative MBA concept, launched globally in 2015, which has since become one of Eastern Europe's most respected learning platforms for professionals in branding, marketing, communication and design. The partnership will bring curated workshops and learning experiences to Sri Lanka, connecting local professionals with international perspectives and insights.
